Here's a simplified overview of the usages for 10-32 or 5mm steel alloy rack screws and washers:
Screws:
- Mounting audio/visual and IT equipment in 19-inch racks
- Securing accessories like faceplates, cable trays, and shelves to racks
Washers:
- Used with the screws to distribute the clamping force
- Help prevent damage to the mounting surface
- Provide a stable, secure connection
- Can be used for leveling or shimming equipmen
The steel alloy construction gives these screws and washers the strength and corrosion resistance needed for rack-mounted equipment. The 10-32 or 5mm size is the standard for 19-inch racks, allowing for secure mounting of a variety of AV and IT hardware.
